Founder & President Director
As a multi-talented CEO director, Aiko often acts as producer of musicals --stage performances or film productions-- and other forms of performing arts. She also writes scripts for several musicals. As an artistic consultants, she pours her creative ideas in costume and make up design.
Aiko received the Cipta Karya Persada award in the field of arts. She was also selected as Cosmopolitan magazine's Fun Fearless Female figure, as well as a “She Can” Ambassador by Tupperware. Since 2020, Aiko serves as a member of the Dance Committee of the Jakarta Arts Council.
Founder & Director Artistic
Rusdy had his first taste on traditional dance from I Made Suteja, Katijo, and Mohammad Supriyatin. For ballet, Linda Karim, Sunny Pranata, Farida Oetoyo, Margie Kalhorn, and Rudy Wowor were his mentors. In 1985, Rusdy received a scholarship from the British Council to continue his study. Rusdy spent one year at the London Contemporary Dance School, United Kingdom, where he met the dance maestros such as Jane Dudley, Ronald Emblen, and Nina Fonaroff that honed his dance skills. In 1994, Rusdy received the "Citra Karya Persada" award for his achievements in the socio-cultural field.
In 1996, he founded Eksotika Karmawibhangga Indonesia (EKI) Dance Company and as an artistic director –a position that he keeps until today. He was elected as the Dance Committee of the Jakarta Arts Council and served until 2018.
Dancing takes Takako involved in many projects that flew her to all over the place, from Japan to Spain, from Malaysia to France. She often dance solo and act as leading dancer in most of EKI performances. As a theatre actor, she took part as leading roles, among others, in the musicals titled Miss Kadaluwarsa (2007) and Jakarta Love Riot (2010). She often assisted choreographer Rusdy Rukmarata and director Sujiwo Tejo in musicals productions’ process.
Takako Leen has been a productive choreographer since 2006. She won various national dance competitions.
A young dancer and choreographer who performed her dance piece at the Jakarta Dance Meet Up 2019 – a program from the Jakarta Arts Council. Together with EKI, she has been performing in various cities in Indonesia, and in Hyderabad, India. And together with Ara, Nala also performed at Indonesian State Palace event.
In 2019, Nala who often acts as main cast in various musicals, including "Lutung Kasarung" and "Jaka Tarub", became one of the finalists for the prestigious "Indonesia Menuju Broadway" event. Today, apart from dancing and choreographing, Nala also involves in the dance management team at EKI Dance Company.
A leading dancer, young choreographer and one of the script writing team in EKI. As a dancer, Ara has performed in various places in Indonesia. She also performed in a dance festival in Hyderabad, India. She was invited to perform at the event of State Palace Dinner between Indonesian President Joko Widodo and President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte.
Ara won various national level vocal competitions, one of which is the Indonesian Dream Festival. In 2019, Ara became one of the finalists of "Indonesia Menuju Broadway". In August 2020, she played the main character of “Lutung Kasarung” –one of the musical projects during the pandemic.
